Job Title: Drilling Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  • This role will support and direct drilling engineering functions to support drilling operations; and lead major drilling engineering projects that require original or unusual analysis and solutions. This role will also

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide sound drilling engineering methods and procedures to be used on drilling operations.
  • Execute and accomplish assignments and studies in areas outlined in the scope, assuring conformance to overall objectives of all phases of drilling operations in areas including drilling penetration rate optimization, new drilling technology, and drilling studies.
  • Deliver technical support for many types of drilling wells including complex multi-lateral and extended reach (ERD) horizontal oil and gas wells, offshore and deep water. Wells include water injections and producing wells, exploration wells and all kind of workovers.
  • Analyze advanced drilling data and the performance of new or existing drilling techniques to determine a need for or benefit from studies, recommendations, and/or modifications with respect to unit costs, and operating efficiency consistent with established operations.
  • Assume ownership of relevant General Instructions and standards and, when applicable, recommend improvements to operational processes and guidelines.
  • Prepare standard development practices and procedures to ensure maximum drilling efficiency consistent with safety, economics, reservoir, and aquifer considerations

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience as a drilling engineer or foreman in the conventional oil industry with 10 years of this should be with a major international organization.
  • A minimum of 5 years working as an operations drilling engineer with at least 1-yearcumulative time working on a rig as a Drilling Engineer or Drilling Supervisor/Foreman or equivalent.
  • Experienced in developing cost analysis and preparing detailed workover evaluations and programs.

Job Title: Senior Reservoir Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  • This role is primarily responsible for providing technical strategic solutions to the development of the company’s assets.
  • This role will also perform well evaluation, play assessments, and generate reliable production forecasts for the Company.
  • This role will support the team in reservoir characterization and modeling, reservoir management, performance, and surveillance to develop and execute a field development plan working with external consultants.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and implement innovative solutions for depletion strategies, reservoir performance analysis and field development plans.
  • Supervise and conduct comprehensive modeling and simulation studies to identify optimal well spacing, completions design, reservoir management strategies and opportunities.
  • Organize and lead multi-functional peer reviews to support and improve field development design.
  • Study reservoir and well performance data and develop/supervise reservoir surveillance programs and reservoir management activities.
  • Monitor operating expenses to operate and maintain wells to produce the highest volumes of oil and gas at the lowest cost.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary team in planning and conducting field studies.
  • Prepare requirements for well construction, develop well designs for new wells and provide technical assistance to drilling staff to ensure that each well is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Provide economic evaluation to support fast-paced development decisions and work closely with drilling, completions, and production teams.
  • Develop and implement efficient reservoir engineering and organizational practices
  • Study reservoir and well performance data and develop/supervise reservoir surveillance programs and reservoir management activities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
  • Having a Master’s Degree is an advantage.
  • Candidates who have obtained a Master’s Degree or higher should have a work experience of one year for Master’s degree and two years for PhD.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ work experience with 5 years’ experience in conventional reservoirs especially sandstone reservoirs in Niger Delta.
  • Experience in or have a good understanding of stimulation programs design, open hole and cased hole logging capabilities, well test analysis (Pressure transient analysis and rate transient analysis), decline curve analysis, dynamic reservoir modeling, reserves classification, EUR predictions, well spacing optimization, will be required to support key development decisions.

  • Proficiency in the following applications is required: IHS Harmony, Kappa Workstation Suite (Saphir, Topaze minimum), ECLIPSE, Kinetix, GOHFER (DFIT Analysis capabilities), Petroleum Expert, CMG, Peep, OFM, MOSAIC, PVTsim NOVA and EOS

Job Title: Project Petroleum Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  • This role will provide strategic options for unconventional development with emphasis on economic evaluation and apply holistic modeling and decision analysis techniques to support value optimization of the full upstream portfolio within the Company’s upstream strategy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out economic Modeling for ongoing exploration and development as part of commerciality assessment
  • Perform economic evaluation to support fast-paced development decisions and work closely with Corporate Finance, Strategy and Reserves groups
  • Carry out Risk & Uncertainty assessment of technical and financial components
  • Perform Specific scenario planning and sensitivity studies as directed by Management closely work with multi-disciplinary teams to strategize and implement field development plans
  • Conversant with Reserves estimation, validation and booking
  • Conversant with business planning process. Short- & Long-range planning, portfolio ranking
  • Develop and implement new work processes, best technical practices, governance, and controls

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
  • Having a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Economics or Statistics would be an advantage
  • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Broad experience in the oil and gas upstream business with skills in subsurface evaluation and petroleum economics
  • Experience in working with vendors including Corporate Finance, Corporate Strategy & Market Analysis and Reserves

Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge in the following specialties:
  • Economic Evaluation, Business Planning, and Budgeting
  • Field development and depletion plans
  • Investment decision analysis (including risk and uncertainty).
  • Critical technical expertise, managerial acumen and exceptional communication skills
  • Knowledge of the following applications (or similar) is required: PEEP, MOSAIC, Enersight, PVTsim, ProjectRA and Spotfire.
