Job Title: Branch Manager

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

  • We are looking to hire Branch Managers with a minimum of 10 years’ Relationship Manager Work experience in all our branches across in Nigeria.

Job Description

  • To establish and maintain positive customer relationships towards the growth revenue of the bank, plan and deliver an effective marketing strategy and monitor the progress of new and existing products; as well as provide operational management support on a day-to-day basis.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual marketing plans and strategies for liability generation to enable Profit Centre Manager/Relationship Officers to achieve targeted growth objectives.
  • Develop and obtain approval for annual marketing plans and strategies for designated product ranges to enable achievement of targeted growth and profit objectives.
  • Monitor and control business office income and expenditure to ensure profitability.
  • Recommend the creation of risk assets to increase business office profitability.
  • Visit business customers and attending meetings.
  • Contribute to the effective launching of new products to ensure favorable market response and optimum build-up of revenue.
  • Facilitate establish and maintain effective relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Evaluate market research and competitor analyses to formulate marketing plans and strategies.
  • Assume overall accountability for branch expenditure on products and services such as the administration of consumer lending, current account transactions, overdrafts, credit cards and personal loans
  • Monitor and assign targets to Profit Centre Managers/Relationship Officers to ensure effective focus on target achievement.
  • Maintain and acquire customer relationships to improve deposit liability growth and mix.
  • Provide strategic direction and operational support to employees.
  • Define and implement the delivery of marketing strategies and targets.
  • Coach and motivate employees to effectively execute their day-to-day tasks to meet corporate targets and delivery objectives.
  • Effectively communicate to employees the corporate policies, objectives and targets of the bank

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any Social Sciences related discipline.
  • Having a Master’s Degree or professional certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience.

  • The ideal candidate must have good knowledge of product offering and deployment with at least of 2 years’ experience in fintech, telecommunications or payment service providers firms.

Job Description

  • To perform and manage all activities of the Innovation and Partnership team and grow the businesses/partnerships of various product lines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Scope the market to identify opportunities for product sales in accordance with business requirements.
  • Provide sale strategies to business offices and drive conversion of customers to UBA online and transaction banking products.
  • Have oversight of the sales of online and transaction banking products in UBA.
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to providing solutions/ services/ deployment of products to customers.
  • Responsible for training and support of customers/ internal staff on products.
  • Monitoring of customer’s feedback on experience of our products
  • Promote active cross selling between cash management, channel solutions, collections and partnerships.
  • Responsible for sales pitches and sales support for the corporate and commercial banking teams and other in country stakeholders.

  • Drive penetration on all product lines across all customers in all the branches.
  • Ensure profitability of each product by monitoring and evaluating the performance of each product against the budget to attain budget achievement.

  • Carry out requirement gathering of innovations in the market space vis-a-vis what competition offers.

  • Articulate winning strategies for UBA’s products penetration in the retail, commercial and corporate segments.
  • Periodic rendition of online and transaction banking products performance and penetration reports to internal stakeholders for measurements and to drive growth.
  • Maintain the quality of portfolio and collaborate closely with all business segments and other stakeholders.
  • Evaluation and identification of client needs and market trends.
  • Work with the marketing team to design bespoke product marketing & advertising campaigns.
