Job Title: Manager – Technology Compliance and Analytics, Risk and Compliance

Main Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of IT compliance analytics solutions and standards and review the adequacy and effectiveness of implemented IT controls.
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of existing technology policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as an effective second line of defense through the execution of technology compliance analytics and modeling.
- Build relevant tools to perform technology compliance analytics to provide insights for decision making and corrective action.
- Perform regular monitoring of relevant IT control systems and recommend improvements
- Review MTNN’s data privacy and protection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NDPR, GDPR and other relevant regulatory requirements
- Support MTNN’s Data Protection Compliance Organizations during the statutory audit of the company’s privacy and data protection practices
- Ensure compliance with NITDA regulation on the timely submission of data protection audit reports
- Implement appropriate strategies for monitoring MTNN’s technology assets to ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and Data privacy regulations.
- Undertake investigations on cases of non-compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards, and seek ways to resolve issues that arise due to non-compliance
- Report on results of monitoring and testing activities to the Senior Manager, Compliance and assist with other reporting as required
- Assess the effectiveness of MTN’s compliance monitoring and testing programs and provide recommendations on improvements.
- Serve as advisor to IT and other business units on relevant IT compliance strategies and consult on compliance issues regarding user built/ managed systems
- Keep abreast of existing and emerging technology-related regulations and processes and discuss emerging compliance issues with management
- Review the impact of IT projects/initiatives to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Review performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
Minimum Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or other related fields
- Having a professional Certificate (Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification) and Certification in data analytics and big data is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 6 – 13 years’ experience which includes Minimum of 5 years’ of combined IT experience with a broad range of exposure to IT Governance, IT audit, compliance and systems analysis
- Proficiency in data analytics
- Experience reviewing the design of IT solutions
- Experience in scripting and performing in-depth data analysis
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment
- Understanding of the Nigerian telecommunications industry and regulatory framework
- Knowledge and experience of leading compliance and governance frameworks, methodologies and emerging practices.

Job Description
- Manage MTN device specifications, customizations, testing and onboarding process, including the introduction of new device features on the network
- Manage Device orders end-to-end including ensuring all necessary documentations and certifications are secured,
- In conjunction with our Device partners and procurement, ensure availability of a wide range of devices and adequate stock levels at all MTN touch points
- Development of consumer and retail/channel value propositions for devices
- Identify and evaluate new devices to meet customers demand and develop initial business cases to support new device requirements. Source insights from channel & segments profitability and BI to ensure proper creation & feasibility of offer creation – continuously assess product potential and profitability.
- Strategic Partnerships with Original Equipment/Device Manufacturers (OEMs/ODMs) to drive MTN’s device market share
- Lead device launches and relevant special projects in coordination with the internal teams.
- Push development ideas to segment managers regarding product development related special Projects like Device upgrades, Device Trade-in, Buy Back, Device Leasing etc.
- Manage the reports and progress of the device launched and special projects launched and provide the insight for each projects, which gives the fact for the profit margin on the projects launched and the win-loss analysis against the set forecast.
- Assist in achieving MTNN’s smartphone and broadband penetration targets across different customer segments to increase ARPU, acquire new customers, and retain existing customers.
- Monitor and evaluate market trends and provide competitive insight and bring development ideas/concept papers to the relevant stakeholders to generate positive revenue and differentiate device offerings.
- Review device performance (along all defined criteria) and provide senior management with response actions in keeping in line with set business objective and goals and develop contingency plans as required to address shortfalls or excesses.
- Report (device reporting and tracking) on a monthly basis to management relating to progress made vs. target.
Minimum Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related discipline
- Having a Master’s Degree in relevant discipline is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience which includes 3 years in a supervisory/management role in Telecoms marketing and/or Sales and 2 years in managing projects
- Experience in device specification development, device supply, retail/sales, support, channel development and problem management
- A good understanding of systems, networks and mobile telecoms, mobile applications and mobile devices
- Proven experience in customer management, market research, marketing strategy execution, and performance tracking
- Proven experience in driving Home Broadband market development would be an added advantage.
