Scholarship provisions
We offer bachelor’s, master’s, one-tier master’s, and non-degree programs
Education without tuition fees – exemption from tuition fees
Until the completion of the studies, non-degree, bachelor’s, master’s, and one-tier master’s students will receive a monthly stipend of HUF 43,700 (cca EUR 103) to cover living expenses.
A free dormitory place or a contribution of HUF 40,000/month to accommodations for the duration of the scholarship period is offered as an accommodation contribution. (Please note that if the student does not live in the dormitory, the HUF 40,000/month is a contribution to rental costs, and in larger cities – particularly the capital city – this contribution would not cover the entire amount of rental costs.)
Health care services according to Hungarian law (Act LXXX of 1997, national health insurance card) and supplementary health insurance up to HUF 65 000 (ca. 153 EUR) per person per year
Programmes for Doctoral study

During the scholarship period, accommodation costs will be covered by either a free dormitory or a contribution of HUF 40,000/month. If the student does not live in the dormitory, the HUF 40,000/month contribution is a contribution to the rental costs, and in large cities, such as the capital city, this contribution would not cover the full amount of rental costs.)
Health insurance – coverage for health care services based on Hungarian legislation (Act LXXX of 1997, national health insurance card) and supplementary health insurance for up to HUF 65 000 (ca. 153 EUR) per year.
Please also bear in mind that all these provisions are only but a contribution to the living expenses of the Scholarship Holders.
What it means is that it does not fully cover all the costs of living, and the students need to add their own financial resources once in a while in order to cover all living expenses in Hungary. All candidates are highly advised to check the expected living expenses both in Hungary and in the city that they wish to live in before applying; please do check our Cost of Living Calculator by clicking here: http://www.studyinhungary.hu/living-in-hungary/menu/your-costs-of-living.html
