The cost of attendance for the faculty of arts, social sciences, education, and environmental sciences ranges from roughly N55,000 to N66,000 per session. The cost of attendance for the Business Administration, Engineering, and Science faculties is between N66,500 and N72,500 per semester. The cost of attendance for the law faculty is around N67,500 every semester.

Approximately N70,000 to N100,000 is the school fee per session, which varies based on the curriculum and degree of study. Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in a variety of subjects are among the postgraduate programs offered by Unilag.

UNILAG Admission Requirements

Requirements for Undergraduate Admission: In order to be evaluated for undergraduate admission to Unilag, candidates must fulfill the subsequent prerequisites:

Candidates for Olevel Results must have at least five (5) credit passes, including English and Mathematics.

Language, in a maximum of two (2) sessions. There are courses that call for a certain combination of subjects.

UTME candidates are required to take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and receive a minimum score of 200.

Examination (UTME) Post-UTME: To be eligible for admission, applicants must also take part in the Unilag Post-UTME Screening exercise and receive a passing score.

• Age: Applicants must be at least 16 years old by October 31 of the application year.

Postgraduate Admission Requirements: To be considered for postgraduate admission at Unilag, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree: Candidates must have at least a Second Class Lower Division Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Academic Transcript: Candidates must submit an official transcript from the prior school(s) showing their academic standing.

NYSC: Applicants who graduated from Nigerian universities must have completed the mandatory National Youth service Corps (NYSC) program or acquired a certificate of exemption.

Entrance Exam: Depending on the course of study, applicants may be required to take either an entrance exam or an interview.

UNILAG Hostel Accommodations

Hostel accommodations are provided by the University of Lagos to both undergraduate and graduate students. The cost of the hostel, which varies for different types of students, is fairly reasonable.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students at UNILAG pay different prices for their rooms based on the type of room and hostel. The following are the undergraduate students’ housing costs for the current academic year:

• Moremi Hall (four-bed rogm): N55,000.

• Fagunwa Hall (four-bed room): N55,000.

Honors Hostel: N50,000 for a four-bed room

• Jaja Hall: N50,000 for a four-person room

Makama Hostel: N50,000 for a room with four beds

• Kofo Hall (4-bed room): N45,000.

• Queen Amina Hall (four-bed room, N40,000)

Postgraduate Students

Postgraduate students at UNILAG are also welcome to utilize the hostel’s amenities. The cost of lodging is essentially the same for postgraduate and undergraduate students. The costs of lodging for postgraduate students throughout the academic session are as follows:

Mariere Hall (single room): N80,000

N80,000 (single room) at Fagunwa Hall

Honors Hostel: N75,000 for a private room

Jaja Hall (one room): N75,000

Makama Hostel (one room): N75,000
